Math Library Adds Nonlinear Curve Fitting, Optimization

Major update also includes support for complex linear algebra and solving systems of nonlinear equations.

Toronto, Canada, (January 24, 2006) Extreme Optimization, a provider of numerical components for Microsoft’s .NET platform, today announced the release of version 1.2 of the Extreme Optimization Mathematics Library for .NET.

The Extreme Optimization Mathematics Library for .NET includes classes for complex numbers, curve fitting, solving equations, function optimization in one or more dimensions, numerical integration and differentiation, real and complex vectors, matrices and matrix decompositions, and various special functions. The linear algebra code uses processor optimized versions of the standard BLAS and LAPACK packages.

The new version adds support for advanced nonlinear curve fitting, optimization in one or more dimensions, solving systems of nonlinear equations. It also contains an extensive set of classes for complex linear algebra.

”We’re very excited about this release.” said Jeffrey Sax, architect of the library. “We have expanded significantly the range of applications our library supports. We almost doubled the number of classes. We now have the most powerful curve fitting for the .NET platform.”

The Extreme Optimization Mathematics Library for .NET is available for purchase from $495 for a single developer license. A free 60-day evaluation version is available for download from the Extreme Optimization website at http://www.extremeoptimization.com.
